Open Music System (OMS)
An application and some extensions that link MIDI programs with MIDI hardware only for use with Macintosh operating systems before OS X . OMS controls the routing of MIDI events and provides a Studio Setup Document that all OMS-compatible applications can reference.
For OS X, MIDI System Services(MSS/CoreMIDI) provides similar functionality and is used instead.
